Helen A. (Orson) Goyette, 104, a lifelong resident of Somers, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare.

Born on Oct. 11, 1908, in Somersville, she was the loving daughter of the late William and Kastucia Orson, and the loving wife to the late Henry A. Goyette. Helen worked for woolen mills in Somersville and Stafford for many years. She was a communicant of All Saints Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Helen enjoyed gardening, and picking and smelling the flowers she had grown. She also enjoyed her family gatherings, which were the joy of her life for so many years.
Helen is survived by her two loving daughters Patricia A. Morse, and her husband, Robert, of Ellington and Nancy Orosz, and her husband, Joseph, of Simsbury; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her three sons, Henry Goyette Jr. and Lawrence and William Goyette.
Visitation hours will be on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., Somers.
Family and friends will gather for a funeral procession at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Somers Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Church, 25 School St., Somersville. Burial will be held in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Enfield.
