Horace Robert Crockett, of East Windsor, beloved husband of 60 years to Doris (Fish) Crockett, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2013, surrounded by his family.

Horace was born in Charleston Four Corners, N.Y., the son of Rev. George R. and Grace (Howard) Crockett on Sept. 19, 1928. He graduated from Wilton Academy in Wilton, Maine. He moved to Connecticut in 1960 with his wife and family. He retired from Hamilton Standard in 1990. He enjoyed Ford cars, camping, family reunions, his dogs, and annual trips to Poland Springs, Maine.

In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law: Mona and John Langevin of Chicopee, Mass., Donna and Lester Weaver of Vernon, Brenda and Peter Ranslow of Wethersfield, and Wilma and Rich Sutherland of Rockville; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Rockville Baptist Church, 825 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, on April 6, 2013, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception.
