Isabel Lilly (Hughes) Hoar, 94, of Bolton, beloved wife for over 50 years of the late Harold L. Hoar Sr. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at home with her family at her side.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1924, and raised on an agricultural farm in Philmont, New York. She was one of five daughters of the late Andrew and Barbara Hughes. Isabel, along with her husband Harold, owned and operated Harold & Sons Rubbish Removal of Bolton for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Bolton. Isabel was an avid and gifted gardener with two green thumbs. She spent many hours in her yard tending to her flowers, vegetables, fruit plants, and trees. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting, and sewing. Isabel was well known for her beautiful knitted slippers, which she made and often gave as gifts. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 102 in Manchester. As much as she enjoyed her hobbies, her greatest love was spending time with her family.
