Jeanette Scibek, 87, of Ellington, beloved wife of Edward "Skip" Scibek, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 29, 2014, surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Rockville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Browne) Kincman. She was a communicant of St. Luke Church, Ellington.
Besides her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Lynn and George Hallarin of Columbia, Mark and Nancy Scibek of Flower Mound, Texas, and Matthew and Lisa-Jo Scibek of Tolland; her brother, David Kincman of Tyngsboro, Mass.; her grandchildren, Michael, Erin, and Daniel Hallarin, and his fiancée, Sarah Chamberland, Melinda, Shannon, Andrew, and Jonathan Scibek, and his wife, Taryne, and Haylee Scibek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St Luke Church, Ellington. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Rockville.
Relatives and friends may join the family today, March 31, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
