Jeanne M. (Buttner) Roark, 86, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Charles B. Roark, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.
Jeanne was born on Jan. 14, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late John L. and Emma R. (Storms) Buttner, and had been a resident of Manchester for over 41 years.
She is survived by her two sons, Ralph Roark, and his wife, Anne, of North Stonington, Randy Roark of Boulder, Colo.; her two daughters, Regina Libby, and her husband, Richard, of Coventry and Robin Roark of Ellington; her three loving grandchildren, Jeanne Tillinghast, Jesse Longway, and his fiancée, Maria Pastore, and Charles O. Roark; two great-grandchildren, Brett and Britany Tillinghast; and her grand-dogs, Scarlet, Molly, and Jackson.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester.
There are no calling hours.
