Jeffrey "J.P." Daley passed away peacefully on Dec. 22, 2012, at the age of 19, after a sudden illness.

Born July 8, 1993, in Springfield, J.P. was a 2011 graduate of Suffield High School where he was a member of the boys tennis team. He attended Xavier University and most recently was employed at Armata's Supermarket in Longmeadow, Mass. J.P.'s true passions were his guitars, skiing, UConn football and basketball, and the Boston professional sports teams.

J.P. leaves behind his loving mother and father, Barbara (Kelly) and Timothy Daley; as well as his three siblings, Gregory, Dean, and Caitlin Daley, all of Suffield. Additionally, he leaves his grandmothers, Maria Daley of Suffield and Margaret Kelly of Schenectady, N.Y.; his aunts and uncles, Deana Daley and Susan Daley of Suffield, Diane and Peter Donah of Agawam, Mass., Tricia and Andrew Kowalczyk of Atlanta, Ga., and Linda and William Bohne of Wallingford; and his cousins, Neil and Steven Donah, Michael and Ryan Bohne, and Paul Kowalczyk. J.P. was predeceased by his grandfathers, Dean M. Daley and John E. Kelly.

Family and friends are invited to the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, for calling hours on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home and proceed to Sacred Heart Church, 446 Mountain Road, Suffield, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215

or the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 642, Suffield, CT 06078.

J.P.'s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of the Connecticut Children's Medical Center pediatric intensive care unit for their tireless efforts and extraordinary care, particularly Dr. Amy Wu, Dr. Daniel Diana, and Karen Mazzarella, R.N., for their years of support.
