Born in Hartford on Dec. 4, 1949, a loving daughter of the late Raymond J. and Lorraine (Riccardo) DeMaio, she had been a lifelong resident of East Hartford. Joanne was a graduate of East Catholic High School, Class of 1968, and was a longtime faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford, where she was also a member of their Prayer Shawl Ministry. Prior to her retirement, Joanne was employed for 31 years by Aetna Insurance Co. in Hartford.
