Joseph Cormier, 82, of Broad Brook, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.

Born on Oct. 30, 1930, in Buctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the loving son of the late James and Helda (Pellerin) Cormier, and the loving husband to the late Viola (Savoie) Cormier. Joe was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and had a special pet named Spike.
Joe is survived by his six loving children, Yvette Rutovich and her husband, Jurgen, of Enfield, Paul Cormier of Broad Brook, Pauline Maffisoli and her husband, Jan, of Broad Brook, Donald Cormier of East Windsor, Gisele Gamrat of Hartford, and James Cormier and his wife, Tina, of Manchester, N.H.; two sisters, Huberte Cormier of Moncton, N.B., Doreen Borgal of Bieppe, N.B.; four brothers, Herve (June) Cormier of Hartford, Norman (Shirley) Cormier of Alabama, Ronald Cormier and Alphonse (Marielle Dupont) Cormier, all of Moncton, N.B.; his eleven loving grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Douglas, Adam, Tara, Michael, Todd, Joshua, Sarah, Shawn and Heather; his two loving great-grandchildren, Connor and Kyleigh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 5. to 7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.
A funeral procession will gather by 10 a.m.. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will be held in Saint Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
