Joseph J. Nasuta, 96, of Southbury, formerly of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Waterbury Hospital.

Born on Oct. 23, 1917, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Sidor) Nasuta and was a resident of Enfield for most of his life. Joseph was employed as a weaver for the former Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors as a young man especially ice skating.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his five siblings, John, Emily, Adele, Helen, and Steffanie.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Enfield.
