Judith "Judy" (Gottier) Delaney, 77, of Ellington, beloved wife of 54 years to William "Bill" Delaney, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

Born in Rockville, the daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" (Richter) Gottier of Ellington and the late Jacob Gottier, she was a lifelong resident of Ellington. Judy was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1959. She was employed by Valley-Moser Farms in Ellington for over 35 years before her retirement in 2018. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 62 in Ellington and was a member of the Ellington Quilting Club. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and going on cruises with her husband and friends. Judy attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Ellington.

In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Tracy Bazzano and her husband, Matthew, of West Stafford; two granddaughters, Shelby Farnham of Watertown and Maria Bazzano of West Stafford; her son-in-law, Steven Farnham of Watertown; three sisters, Sandra Gottier of Davenport, Florida, Susan Parker and her husband, Perlin, of Somers, and Marjorie Gottier of Ellington; a brother, Clifford Gottier and his wife, Bonnie, of Somers; a sister-in-law, Marge Chemerka of Waterford; special friends, Clayton and Toni Bannock, Jack and Doreen Ward, and Jack and Judith Wilke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Farnham; her granddaughter, Megan Farnham; and her brother, Russell Gottier.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours Friday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington.

Funeral service will be held at the church Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judy's memory may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington, CT 06029.
