Kenneth P. Hansen, 73, of Enfield and Cocoa, Fla., entered into eternal rest on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at his home.

Born on March 5, 1939, in Township of Freemont, Wis., he was the son of the late Leland and Dorothy (Rennak) Hansen, and the loving husband to Carla R. (Wrobel) Hansen. Ken was employed by Hamilton Standard for 32 years, retiring as chief fuel controls design engineer and most recently, as technical consultant for design by Analysis in New Britain. Ken greatly enjoyed snowmobiling, was an avid hunter and a NASCAR fan. He also was a member of the Enfield Jaycees for many years, and a communicant of Holy Family Church. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Besides his wife, Carla, Ken is survived by his two daughters, Barbara K. Rabus, and her husband, Alan, of South Windsor, and Paula L. Hansen, and her partner, Maria Johnson, of Manchester; two brothers, Richard Hansen, and his wife, Connie, of Roscoe, Ill., and Len Hansen, and his wife, Mary, of Green Bay, Wis.; a sister, Dianne Beaufeaux, and her husband, Mike, of Hinckley, Minn.; three beloved grandchildren, Eric, Evan, and Austin Thomas. Ken was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Hansen, and a sister, Lorrie Schiltz.

Visitation hours will be on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.

A memorial funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. At the request of the family, everyone attending should meet at the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield.
