Kenneth W. Smith, 76, of Coventry, beloved husband of Kathleen (Robbins) Smith, died Sunday, March 10, 2013.

He was born April 5, 1936, in Manchester, N.H., to Onell and Loretta (Serror) Smith. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 11 years, retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 28 years of service and was a communicant of the Manchester Church of the Nazarene for the past 30 years. He enjoyed reading the daily Hartford Courant, Journal Inquirer, as well as Popular Mechanics, Consumer Reports, and Newsweek. A favorite routine of his was sharing morning coffee time with his friends at various local Dunkin' Donuts locations, especially with his good friend, Dick Millette.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen; his sons, Gregory S. Doane, and his wife, Chelsea, of Coventry, Christopher E. Doane of Arkansas; his grandchildren who referred to him as "PaPa" and whom he adored, Kodi, Morgan, Brittany, Rosa, Ella, and Quincy; his sister-in-law, Robin Hill, and her husband, Greg, of Vermont.
Relatives and friends may join the family for a memorial service Friday, March 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 218 Main St., Manchester. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, Coventry.
