Lillian Urso, born April 4, 1934, in New Britain, died on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, in Vernon.

She grew up in Plainville, daughter of Carmelo and Carmalina (Lentiere) Urso. At 18 years old, she moved to Mansfield Training School, where she lived until June 11, 1989, when she moved to the Center Road Group Home in Vernon, where she lived until her passing. She had many friends there, including Edna, Joan, Carmen, Anne, Bridget, and many others. She attended the New Seasons Day Program daily where she participated in many social and recreational activities; coffee hour and manicures being her favorite. She will be remembered as everyone's friend, grandma, and "baby."

She leaves behind her many friends and caregivers, "Mary Elizabeth" and Cathy at New Seasons and too many others to name; as well as friends, Marcia and Barbara. She was predeceased by her brother, Vincent Urso and his wife, Midge, of Plainville. She leaves behind her brother, Carl Urso and his wife, Dolores, of Arizona; and their children Deborah Kemp, Marie Jirovsky, and Carl Urso Jr.; nephews, Bob Urso and Tim Urso of Plainville and their families.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday, August 11, at 11 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to New Seasons Inc., 164 East Center St., Manchester, CT 06040.
