Linda Mack (formerly Sullivan), 60, of South Windsor died Oct. 20, 2012, at Hartford Hospital after she fought a courageous battle waiting on the liver transplant list with end-stage liver disease, which escalated only four months after her retirement on Jan, 1, 2012.

Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Raymond Mack and Margaret Butchon, she was the middle child with two brothers and grew up in Windsor Locks in a close community with many friends. She spent most of her adult life in East Hartford raising her family with loving care with her former husband of 26 years, Edward Sullivan, where she made everyone feel welcome with her warm heart. She had a 36-year career with Limra International in Windsor, with positions in document processing, IT training/tech help, conference coordinator, marketing and compliance, where she worked hard, had a great attitude, was respected, admired, and loved and gained many close friends. She sometimes traveled for business and was involved in many company activities. She had the privilege to represent Limra to meet and have her picture taken with President Clinton. She loved spending time with family and friends in many ways, helping and comforting those in need, volunteering, cooking, gardening, traveling, playing softball, golf, bowling, cards, cribbage, beach days, and like her mother loved watching the Red Sox.

She leaves her loving family, two sons, Christopher Pappagallo of South Windsor and Kevin Sullivan of Meriden; daughter, Lindsay Sullivan; and granddaughter who she adored, Madison Sullivan-Westover of East Hartford; brothers, John Mack of Manchester and Jeffery Mack and his wife, Christine Mack, of Vernon; a stepmother, Jean Mack of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nephew and godson, Stephen Mack of Vernon; nephew, Daniel Mack of West Hartford; nephew, Zack Sullivan of Andover; extended family members, longtime close friend Bette Conlon; and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately in Valley Falls Cemetery, Vernon.

Family and friends may call at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m.
