Lorraine (Pomelow) Johnson, 86, of North Franklin, loving wife of the late Charles L. Johnson Jr., passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013, at William W. Backus Hospital.

Lorraine was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of the late Theodore and Eva M. (Gilcott) Pomelow. Lorraine was born and raised in Maine and during World War II moved to Connecticut and lived in Enfield until 1993. In 1993 Lorraine and her late husband moved to New Port Richey, Fla. In 2002, Lorraine moved back north to East Windsor, until 2012 when she relocated to North Franklin.

Lorraine is survived by her three sons, Michael C. Johnson, and his wife, Philomena, of Plantsville, Daniel S. Johnson, and his wife, Cheryl, of Oakdale, and Charles L. Johnson III, and his wife, Marjorie, of Enfield. Lorraine is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lisa Johnson of New York City, Tina Hughes, and her husband, Jason, of Haddam, Victoria Lankerd, and her husband, Steve, of Oakdale, Rebecca, Daniel Jr., Jacqueline, and Charlene Johnson of Oakdale, and Emily Johnson of Enfield; three great-grandchildren, Nathan and Zachary Hughes and Liam Lankerd; and a sister, Dolline Roy of Madison, Maine.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St., Enfield. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
