Margaret C. (Stanley) Remotti, 68, of Windsor Locks, loving wife of 47 years to Claudio Remotti, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 7, 2018, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family at John Dempsey Hospital.

Margaret was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Crestview, Florida, the daughter of the late William Ogie and Lois Gene (Thompson) Stanley. As her children were growing up, Margaret operated a daycare out of her home for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading historical fiction, drawing birds and flowers, and enjoying outdoor activities with her family and friends. Margaret was the matriarch of the Remotti family and often could be found cooking a delicious meal for her loved ones, especially during the holidays.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is also survived by four children, Melissa Remotti of Camarillo, California, Jason Remotti and his wife, Dawn, of Goleta, California, James Remotti and his wife, Sonia, of Windsor Locks, and Mary Remotti of Windsor Locks. Margaret was the doting grandmother of six grandchildren, Alexander, Tyler, Isabella, Zachary, Nathaniel, and Peter Remotti. She is also survived by two brothers, William David Stanley of Baker, Florida and John Stephen Stanley and his wife, Lois, of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours Wednesday, July 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.

A funeral procession will gather Thursday, July 12, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to the Maleia Spears Trust, care of Trustee Kristen Ellis at 850-682-2120 or [email protected], in support of cancer treatment for 11-year-old Maleia from Margaret's hometown of Baker, Florida.
