Marie C. (Curcio) Heck, of Enfield, entered into eternal life at the age of 66, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Marie was the beloved wife of 45 years to Douglas J. Heck and daughter of the late Nicolo and Santana (Noto) Curcio.
She was born on June 15, 1946, in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Marie was employed for several years with Aetna Life Insurance. A devoted and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Marie's primary goal in life was caring for her family and her home. She loved spending time with her family and friends, but especially being with the grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She also had a passion for dancing to country and western music.
Besides her loving husband, Doug, Marie is also survived by her beloved children, Kenneth J. Heck, and his wife, Trudy, of Enfield and Lisa M. Rinaldi, and her husband, Steven, of Enfield; and her three adored grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Rinaldi and Stephanie Heck. She also leaves to mourn her passing her five brothers, Nick Curcio of Enfield and Florida, Rosario "Roy" Curcio, and his wife, Marie, of Enfield, Jerome Curcio, and his wife, Linda, of North Carolina, Angelo Curcio of Florida, and Louis Curcio, and his wife, Anna, of Florida; her sisters-in-law, Priscilla Goulet, and her husband, Bruce, and Lorraine Dunphy, and her husband, Tom, all of Andover; along with her many nieces, nephews, and cousins and dear friends, Gerry, Grace, Carol, and Diane. Marie was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Ellen Curcio.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, with the funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. at the funeral home to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
