Marilyn Slye McLaughlin, 83, passed away surrounded by her family in her Eastham, Massachusetts, home Dec. 3, 2018.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and formerly lived in Vernon. She split her time between Vero Beach, Florida, and Eastham. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, The Moorings Yacht and Country Club, Vero Beach, and Eastward Ho! Country Club, Chatham, Massachusetts.

Marilyn was married for 60 years to her late husband, Richard W. "Dick" McLaughlin Sr., who pre-deceased her in 2016. She is survived by her four children, Kathleen M. LaCroix and husband, Christopher, of Vero Beach, Richard W. "Chip" McLaughlin Jr. of South Windsor, Thomas R. McLaughlin and wife, Karen, of Radnor, Pennsylvania, Judy M. Lindahl and husband, Paul, of Eastham; and her seven grandchildren, Caitlin LaCroix, Bridget Lecky and husband, Jake, Chris LaCroix Jr., Emily and Ian Lindahl, Annie and T. Westley McLaughlin. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis McManus of Minnesota; and sister, Diane Severson of Minnesota; her nephew, Stephen Slice of South Carolina; and her nieces, Kristeen Balcombe of South Carolina, Marti Severson and Missy Patrick of Minnesota.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Richard W. '52 and Marilyn McLaughlin Scholarship Fund at Boston College Office of University Advancement, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

A memorial Mass will be held Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Interment will be private.
