Marion Blanco, 97, passed away on Dec. 6, 2018.

Born on Dec. 19, 1920, to Herbert and Bessie Hadsell. "Grandma was a wonderful woman who helped shape us all into who we are today." She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She was generous, strong, clever, beautiful, spirited, and adventurous. She also enjoyed quiet time with music while knitting and crocheting.

Her family was her priority. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Blanco; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her children James Blanco and wife, Judith of South Carolina, Josephine Rhodes and husband, Charles of East Killingly, and Irene "Reeni" Vinci and husband, Gregory of Tolland; along with 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will all miss her.

Family and friends are invited for calling hours on Monday, Dec. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

There will be a funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Dec. 11 at The Church of Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield, CT 06109. Burial will immediately follow.
