Mark E. Caron

The Guest Book is expired.

Mark E. Caron, 62, of Holly Ridge, North Carolina, formerly from Somers, entered into eternal rest the morning of May 4, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born July 17, 1955, in Hartford, the son of the late Joseph Caron and Florence (Keithley) Caron Morelli.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandy (Clark) Caron; his sons, Joseph Caron and his wife, Jessica, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Michael Czepiel and his wife, Kelly, of Hampstead, North Carolina. Mark was the proud Papa to his beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Camryn Czepiel. He also leaves his brother, Steven Caron and his wife, Sandy, of Windsor Locks; and a sister, Debbie Kelley and her husband, Michael, of Eliot, Maine.

Mark was employed for 33 years at United Technologies Aerospace Systems. He was honored to be engineering manager for the CST-100 Commercial Spacecraft. Mark was an avid NASCAR fan and followed the Earnhardt team. You always could hear him yelling at the TV "GO DALE." Mark was someone you could count on in good times and bad. He was gentle and loving which embraced not only his family but any child or animal in his care. His generosity of heart, as well as his loyalty and selflessness are some of the qualities we will miss the most.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family during calling hours Friday, May 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St. (Route 190), Somers.

A funeral service for Mark will be celebrated Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at the Somers Congregational Church, 599 Main St., Somers. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Spring Street, Windsor Locks.
