Mary (Cooney) Cotton, 99, of Brooksville, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1913 in Hartford to the late Frank and Mary (Dwyer) Cooney, and had resided in Manchester prior to her retirement. Before her retirement she worked for Aetna Insurance Co. After retiring she and her late husband, Kenneth, moved to Springhill, Fla., where she was an active member of her church, St. Theresa's, where she participated in the Ladies Guild and was a past president.
Mrs. Cotton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Elaine Cotton of Springhill, Fla; her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Richard Bohadik of Manchester; five grandchildren, Pamela (Bohadik) Carmel and her husband, Christopher, Robert Bohadik and his wife, Terri, Richard Bohadik and his wife, Laureen, Kelly Stevens and her husband, James, Kevin Cotton and his wife, Ashley; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Cooney. She will always be in the hearts and memories of those who knew her best.
A memorial service will be celebrated at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., on March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m.
