Mary (Smalley) Young, 95, was reunited with her late husband of 58 years, Edward L. Young Sr., on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.

A lifelong resident of Windsor Locks, she was born May 30, 1918, the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophie (Adamczyk) Smalley. She was employed by Hamilton Standard and took an early retirement so she and her husband could travel. Together they traveled throughout the United States and visited Alaska and Canada twice. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two children, Edward L. Young Jr. of New London and Mary Anne Y. Seitz of Windsor Locks; five grandchildren, Peter V. Seitz of Virginia Beach, Va.; Angelo Stack, Jacqueline Mikalson and her husband, Joe, all of Agawam, Mass.; Anthony Stack and his wife, Nicole, of Springfield; granddaughter Carol S. Stoltenberg and her husband, Gary, of Vernon; six great-grandchildren, Cole Ely Stoltenberg, Alexis, Alayna and Joey Mikalson, Olivia and Jake Stack; and a nephew, Edward Smalley of Springfield. Mary was predeceased by two daughters, Carol Anne Young and Shirley Y. Stack; four brothers, Edward and Francis Smalley, who were killed while serving in World War II, John Smalley and Thaddeus Smalley; a sister, Anne Dumas; and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Young.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
