Marylynne A. (Peatie) Scata, 78, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Nunzio J. Scata, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hartford Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1935, to the late Thomas and Helen (Bogel) Peatie Sr. in Hartford. She had graduated from Holy Family Academy in Baltic. Marylynne had lived in Vernon for the past 45 years after relocating from Wethersfield. In her younger years she was a dog grooming specialist for Cozy Cove before retiring to devote her time to raising her family. She was a lady of class and enjoyed to garden, but most of all spending time with her husband and children.

She is survived by her children, Nicholas Scata of Vernon, Constance Scata of Vernon; her brother, Thomas Peatie; her sister, Beverly Stahouski; as well as many dear friends and caregivers.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Her funeral service will be private.
