Matilda "Mattie" A. Dojka of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, passed away Jan. 1, 2019, at Heritage Hall East (Agawam, Massachusetts).

Born in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, April 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Budzynkiewicz Madej. After growing up in Chicopee Falls, she lived in Enfield for a short time and moved to Longmeadow in 1951. She worked for 39 years as a supervisor and label clerk at American Cyanamid (formally John H. Breck Co.) in West Springfield. She was a longtime communicant of St. Adalbert Church in Enfield.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, of 55 years, who died March 21, 2002. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Alphonse, John, and Henry; and two sisters, Mary Madej and Stella Smist. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Claire Madej of Amherst, Massachusetts; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family of Mattie would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall for the care given her during her stay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Ave., Enfield. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Donations in Mattie's memory may be made to St. Raymond of Penafort Parish for Masses to be said at St. Adalbert Church. Please mail donations to the parish at 64 Pearl St., Enfield, CT 06082.
