Paul M. LaMesa Sr., 83, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal peace Friday, May 17, 2013, at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla.

The son of the late Anthony and Carmelina (Bazzano) LaMesa, Paul was born in Winsted. He had lived in the Enfield community from 1966 until 1994 when he moved to Florida. During his time in Enfield, he was a member of Holy Family Church, and had been employed with Allen Manufacturing for 30 years. He later was employed at Hamilton Standard and retired after 10 years with the company. Paul was a U.S. veteran of World War II and served his country honorably. He was a member of Moose Lodge and was an avid bowler. Paul loved spending his time with his family, and he also enjoyed visits at the family cabin in the beautiful Adirondacks.
He is survived by his two sons, Paul M LaMesa Jr., and his wife, Audrey, Steven G. LaMesa, and his wife, Mary, all of Enfield; his grandchildren, Ashley and Kelly LaMesa, Tara, Anthony, and Lauren LaMesa; a great-granddaughter, Kayla LaMesa-McCarthy; a sister, Lucille Cook of Westford, Mass.; a brother, Carmen LaMesa of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his two former wives, Ingebord (Rosshirt) LaMesa and Adeline LaMesa; three sisters, Theresa Rudnansky, Ernestine Frechette, and Josephine Gelzinis; and a brother, Anthony LaMesa.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Please meet at church. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
