Ralph Lombardi, 84, of Windsor Locks, entered into eternal peace Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Kimberly Hall in Windsor.

The son of the late Frederick and Josephine (Funara) Lombardi, Ralph was born in Hartford, he graduated from Torrington High School, and had lived in the Windsor Locks community most of his life. A Korean War veteran, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Ralph was employed for 10 years at Hamilton Standard and owned and operated Yale Electric for 50 years. He was a person most concerned with the welfare of his country as he was very politically engaged with local and national government issues.
He is survived by his loving son, Doug Lombardi, and his wife, Diane, of Enfield; three grandchildren, Justine, Travis, and Tyler Lombardi; a brother, Al Lombardi, and his wife, Audrey, of Ocala, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his companion of 25 years, Carole Mulligan. Ralph's family also wishes to thank his caregiver, Joan Streeter, as well as the staff at Kimberly Hall, for their wonderful care. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Lombardi; three sisters, Alice Valente, Amelia Yucka, and Sylvia Novgrad; and his first wife, Audrey (Marek) Lombardi.
