Richard Clifton Oliver, 69, died April 23, 2013, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, N.H., with his close friend, Martha Rogers of Kittery Point, Maine, by his side.

He was born Aug. 3, 1943, in Manchester, son of Sara Mildred (Copp) Lange and the late Thaddeus Edward Oliver. Richard grew up and lived the majority of his life in Manchester. He worked for many years as a garment cutter for the clothing maker company, Manchester Modes. He had resided in Brentwood, N.H., for the past 25 years, where he remained employed doing maintenance work. In his spare time, Richard stayed active puttering in his yard. He enjoyed wood chopping and making crafts.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Oliver; his son, Michael Richard Oliver; three grandchildren, Nichole Oliver, Jordyn Marineau, Zachary Oliver; one great-grandson, Nolan Oliver; his mother, Sara Lange; three brothers, Kenneth Oliver, Robert Oliver, and William Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H.
Funeral services will follow on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Brentwood Cemetery, Brentwood, N.H.
