Ronald Charles Haugh (1940 - 2018)

Ronald Charles Haugh, 78, of Manchester, loving husband for 45 years of Ruth P. (Larm) Haugh, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after a short illness.

Ron was born in Endicott, New York, on Feb. 14, 1940, the only child of the late Charles and Margaret (Close) Haugh. He attended middle school in New Jersey, graduated from high school in West Hartford, served in the U.S. Air Force, and then attended the University of Hartford. He was a resident of Manchester since the early 1970s. Prior to retiring in 2006, he was a laboratory technician for the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company in East Hartford for 42 years. Ron was a longtime and active member of the North/South (Civil War) Skirmish Association and participated in events throughout New England. He was an excellent marksman who enjoyed pistol target shooting and hunting. Ron was also an excellent photographer and enjoyed walking with his buddies at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester.

With his wife, Ruth, he is survived by a daughter and granddaughter, Suzanne Haugh and Correy Harris, both of Manchester.

A visiting time for family and friends will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester.
