Stanley D. Slomcinsky Jr., 65, of Center Valley, Pa., passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of Mildred (Gagliardi) Slomcinsky of Vernon and the late Stanley Slomcinsky Sr. He was the husband of the late Cindy (Popielarczyk) Slomcinsky who passed away in 2009. Stan was a well respected regional sales director for Pilot Freight Services, Allentown, Pa., for a number of years. He graduated from South Windsor High School and received his bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Limeport, Pa. Stan was a loyal husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and a mentor to many. He was an avid Boston and UConn basketball fan and always enjoyed his time with his grandson.
He is survived by his mother; daughters, Gyna and husband, Ryan Soucy, of Wilton, Katie and husband, Todd Fredericks, of Lehighton, Pa.; sister, Janet and husband, Todge Armata, of South Windsor; brother, Donald and wife, Terri Slomcinsky, of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Slomcinsky of Manchester; Nancy Schaller and husband, Greg, of Waterford; grandson, William Soucy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5050 St. Joseph Road, Limeport, PA 18060.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Limeport.
