Stella M. (Tokarczyk) Malley, 91, of Enfield entered into eternal life with her loving family at her side on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Malley Sr.

Stella was born on Sept. 13, 1922, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Smoszna) Tokarczyk. She was a graduate of Enfield High School and lifelong resident of Enfield. Over the years Stella was employed with Hallmark Cards, Inc., Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Co., the town of Enfield, and retired from Combustion Engineering Inc. She was an active member of the Enfield Senior Citizens Center and the AARP Chapter 3062 and was the trip organizer and a parishioner of St. Adalbert Church. In her leisure time Stella enjoyed reading, was an avid card player and played bingo.
Stella is survived by a son John Malley and wife, Carole, of Enfield and their children, John and Keith; a daughter Ellen Moody and husband, Jeff, of Enfield and their children, Jamie, Jeffrey, and Julie; daughters-in-law Helene Malley of Enfield and her children, Kathleen, Edward III, Michael, and Jimmy, and Mary Gemme and her children, Harvey and David; her cherished 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and her sister Lenora "Lee" August of Suffield, along with many special nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was also predeceased by her sons Edward J. Malley Jr. and Harvey Gemme; a granddaughter Eileen; a brother Francis "Duke" Tokarczyk; sisters Mary Carenza, Sophie Mell, and Fannie Palmer; and sisters-in-law Mary Sarno and Eleanor "Kit" Malley.
Relatives and friends may gather during calling hours on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield.
The funeral procession will form at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at the funeral home to St. Adalbert Church for an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
