Sue Ann Nealon, 59, of Suffield, wife of the late William C. Nealon died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Suffield House.

She was born Aug. 24,1953, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late John M. Sheehan and Elizabeth Ann (Winters) Sheehan both of Lancaster County, Pa. Mrs. Nealon lived in Suffield for the last 34 years. Mrs. Nealon was a special education teacher and worked as a teacher for the town of Granby. Mrs. Nealon is well known in the community for her ambitious volunteer work serving in countless community organizations in and around Suffield. She served in many leadership posts including president of the Suffield Garden Club, president of the Suffield PTO, Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools, and serving on the board of Village for Families and Children.
She is survived by five children, Michael W. Nealon of New York, N.Y., Timothy S. Nealon of Suffield, John Patrick C. Nealon of Boston, William S. Nealon, and his wife, Valerie Saltzman, of Monroe, and Sherylanne, and her husband, Robert Bolasevich, of Suffield; four siblings, Richard Sheehan, Barbara Segal, Thomas Sheehan, and Elizabeth Nelms, all of Tennessee; and her lifelong friend and the godmother to her children, Diane Wood of New Hampshire.
Friends may call to the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with a funeral service starting at 7:30 p.m. Burial will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Marlboro, Vt., next to her late husband.
