Thomas L. Blowen, 64, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.

Tom was born on May 20, 1948, in Springfield, the son of the late James W. and Pauline (Porcello) Blowen. Tom was proud to have worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 39 years as a machinist. During his younger days he enjoyed bowling and playing cards with his family. He loved to watch cooking shows, news, and the military channel. We love and miss you.
His family would like to thank all of the intensive care unit staff at St. Francis Hospital for its exceptional care of him.
Tom is survived by his three loving children, Thomas L. Blowen Jr. of East Windsor, Theresa Keyes, and her husband, Timothy, of East Windsor, Michael Blowen, and his wife, Denise, of East Windsor; four grandchildren, Michael, Kristina, Kylie, and Kassie; and a lifelong friend, Paula McCloskey of East Windsor. He was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy.
A funeral service will begin on Wednesday, Jan 30, at 9 a.m. from the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, Broad Brook. Committal will be held in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
