Victoria Anne "Tori" Shustock, 20, of Vernon, beloved daughter of Paul and Susanne Shustock, and adored sister to John (Samuel J. Irvine V), passed away unexpectedly early Monday, Oct. 15, 2012.
Tori was born in Vernon on March 5, 1992, and was a graduate of Rockville High School. She was a wonderful gymnastics coach and had been a competitive gymnast and cheerleader for years. Tori loved children and animals and will be missed greatly by her dogs, Baxter and Bently.
Along with her parents and her brother, Tori is survived by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Linda Risso of Rhode Island; her paternal grandparents, Theresa and Lawrence Shustock of East Windsor; her step-grandparents, Buzz and Lois Irvine of Hilton Head, S.C.; her aunts and uncles, Carmen and Paul Fields of Rhode Island, Scott Risso and cousin, Brianna Risso, of Arizona, Charles Risso and cousin, Chancy, of Washington, Lawrence Shustock Jr. and cousins, Kristine, Tabitha, Steven, and Bethany of Ellington, Celeste Jacavone and cousins, Theresa, Angela and Laurarose of Johnston, R.I., Elaine Merkourio and cousin, Alexandra, of East Windsor, Erin and Timothy Shustock of East Hampton, Daniel, Vincent, Andrew, Robert, and Michael Shustock, all of East Windsor; and the Walker family, Emily, Grace, Sophia, Ava, and Lily who she considered her "little sisters."
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2 Maple St., Ellington. Please go directly to church. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vernon Animal Shelter, 100 Windsorville Road, Vernon, CT 06066.
