After 85 years of loving devotion to family and friends, Patricia A. (Leonard) Giguere of Enfield passed gently in the quiet hours of Feb. 2, 2014.

Patricia is survived by her children, Raymond, and his wife, Luann, of Burlington, Marguerite Giguere-Davis, and her husband, Scott, of Hopkinton, Mass., Frank, and his wife, Sheryl, of West Hartford, and Ann Giguere, and her husband, Marc, of Canton. She is also survived by her beloved eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Fogarty, and his wife, Betty, of Shelter Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Ann Mitchell, and her husband, Martin, of Rye, N.Y.
Patricia graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. Following her nursing career she raised her family and with great enthusiasm volunteered for countless organizations such as Meals on Wheels and the Sisters of Providence. She was a founding parishioner of Holy Family Church in Enfield. An avid sports fan, she was particularly devoted to the Boston Red Sox and UConn women's basketball. Her picnics were legendary and her meatballs sorely missed.
Patricia was predeceased by her best friend and husband of 57 years, Raymond, in August of 2011.
Relatives and friends can join the family on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.
A funeral procession will gather on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Patricia's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, 299 Elm St., Enfield, CT 06082.
