Irene B. Bujak, 82, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of the late Walter Bujak Sr., passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 30, 1931, in Norton, Vt., daughter of the late Adolphe and Rosanna Brousseau. She grew up in Norton, Vt., before living in Wethersfield and then Windsor Locks for the past 59 years. Irene was a communicant of St. Mary Church, Windsor Locks, in her earlier years she was a member of the neighborhood sewing club. She enjoyed puzzles and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Irene loved her home and taking care of her yard. She always put others before herself, always caring for others and gave selflessly. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three sons, Walter Bujak Jr., and his wife, Heidi, of Suffield, Francis Bujak, and his wife, Laura, of Lyndeborough, N.H., Richard Bujak of Windsor Locks; a sister, Theresa Paquette of East Hartford; six grandchildren, Brian, Samantha, Kristen, and her husband, Travis Kovar, Keith, Robert, and Steven; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may gather Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 9 a.m. at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 N. East St. (Route 159), Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Windsor Locks. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home.
