Margaret "Peggy" P. Hanley, 60, of Manchester, the wife of David M. Hanley, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Born in Hartford, Aug. 1, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret (Burns) Pastva. She had worked for over 35 years as an executive secretary with both Travelers Insurance Co. and United Healthcare. She was a member of the Connecticut Society of Genealogist and was actively involved in the Project 1950 Census. Her greatest joy was her time spent at Chamberlain Lake enjoying a good book on the deck or by the campfire. She always said that she had the best job of being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Besides her husband she is survived by her son and his wife, Matthew and Meghan Hanley, of Bristol; her grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Haleigh, and Hollie; her brother, Ted Pastva, and his wife, Nancy, of Hebron; her sister, Catherine Robinson, and her husband, Michael, of Manchester; and her niece and nephews, Elizabeth Robinson of Manchester, Stephen Pastva and Pam of Manchester, and Thomas Pastva of Ellington.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester, followed by burial at St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home today, March 10, from 4 to 7 p.m.
