Lillian Schulthess, 91, of Suffield died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Johnson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Fitchburg, Mass., and had lived in Enfield since 1957. She was employed by the Enfield Board of Education and worked at Enfield High School and Enrico Fermi High School, where she was a secretary. She was a member of the Woman's Club of Enfield and the Rosary Guild at St. Bernard Church. She was also a member of the book club at Enfield Public Library. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church for many years. She enjoyed decorating, playing golf, and entertaining her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, and son John III. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Nannette of Cheshire and their children, Meredith, Allyson, and Scott, and Stephen and Betsy of Exeter, N.H., and their children, Kristen, Drew, and Lauren; as well as seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial Mass on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield.
