Marie A. "Anita" (Lariviere) Brunelle, 74, of Suffield, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Suffield House.

Born in Woonsocket, R.I., on April 11, 1939, Anita was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alphonsine (Tellier) Lariviere. A longtime resident of Enfield, she had resided in Chicopee, Mass., for many years prior to moving to Suffield. Anita was a former communicant of St. Bernard Church in Enfield. Anita was employed as a plant manager for 30 years with Comasec Safety Corp. and retired in 2000.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Laurie Letourneau, and her husband, Gaetan, of Enfield, and Donna Cotnoir, and her husband, Denis, of Auburn, Maine; five grandchildren, Cole Letourneau, Taylor Letourneau, Jeff Cotnoir, Renee Dubois, and Christopher Brunelle; three great-grandchildren, Kaelee Bolduc, Jordan Bolduc, and Ambrie Cotnoir; and her former husband and good friend, Julien Brunelle. Anita was predeceased by her son, Ronald Brunelle.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 27, 2014, by 9 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Bernard Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. A private burial at Hazardville Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

Anita's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082.
