Robert A. Cerrato, 51, beloved husband of Betty J. Cerrato, of Enfield, died suddenly Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Springfield on July 10, 1962, son of Joan K. (Keller) Cerrato of Suffield and the late Joseph J. Cerrato, he was a lifelong resident. He and his daughter, Miranda, co-founded A New England Auto Co. in Suffield. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church, Enfield, and he enjoyed boating, the beach, and was an auto enthusiast. Throughout his life he never hesitated to help anyone in need and is remembered for his unconditional kindness.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two children, Pamela A. Walsh of Enfield and Miranda A. Criscitelli, and her husband, Nicholas, of Longmeadow, Mass.; a sister, Karen C. Thompson of Enfield; a brother, Michael E. Cerrato, and his wife, Wendy, of East Windsor; two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas Walsh and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will be held privately at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
