Richard "Rich" John Chester, 40, of Enfield passed away unexpectedly at his parent's home on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.

He was born at Manchester Hospital in Manchester, on July 12, 1973, the son of James and Judy (Kayross) Chester of Enfield. Richard was a person with a kind heart and always willing to lend help to someone in need. If a person was stranded at the side of the road, Richard would stop to help. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Rich was an excellent mechanic and computer expert. If you had a computer problem, he would be there for you. Rich will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Rich is survived by three brothers, Robert Chester and his wife, Erin, of Somers; James Chester, Jr. and his wife, Lori, of Vernon; and Al Chester and his wife, Amy, of Enfield. Rich is also survived by five nieces, Piper, Sloan, Hadley (godchild), Emma, and Lizzy Chester; three nephews, Josh Lyons, Kyle and Jack Chester; and last but not least his beloved Belgian shepherd, Zoie.
A procession will form at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT at 9 a.m. Wed-nesday, April 23, 2014, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in East Windsor.
Rich's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels.
