Carol Ann (Baviello) Slicer, 77, of South Windsor passed away peacefully at home, on April 15, 2014, after a battle with cancer.

She was born on April 1, 1937, in Hartford, to John J. Baviello and Camille B. Baviello. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Clifford W. Slicer, and her beloved granddaughter, Lauren Alaina Hopkins. She leaves her children, Susan Kennedy and her son-in-law, John Kennedy, of Manchester; Deborah Curtiss of Bolton; and Jeffrey Slicer and her daughter-in-law, Mary Slicer, of East Windsor; her brother, John J. Baviello, Jr. of East Hartford; her granddaughter, Dana Kate Hopkins; her grandsons, Jon Ryan Delaney, Sean Gregory Delaney, and Grant Eric Slicer; and two great-granddaughters, Morgan and Madison Delaney; as well as her brothers-in-law, Herbert Slicer and Arthur Slicer; and her sister-in-law, Madeline Slicer; and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was an accomplished piano player and a long-standing member of the South Windsor Community Chorus, and a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church Choir of Vernon for many years. She delighted in singing, playing piano, gardening, and time spent with her cherished family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, for calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 523 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, with burial at Center Cemetery, Old Main Street, South Windsor, immediately following the funeral.
