Joan F. Porcaro, 80, of Stafford Springs, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Johnson Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester, Mass., daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Fuller) Duffy. Joan retired as a secretary from Nichols College, and was a member of St. Edward Parish.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Fred and Patricia Porcaro of Auburn, Mass., Pamela and James Riley of Auburn, Mass., Darlene and Dave Aiello of Charlton, Mass., and Kim and Joe Direnzo of Stafford Springs; her cherished 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Beverly Kline and Patricia Mantyla.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, with a procession forming by 9 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home Inc., 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Street, Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs.
Calling hours are on Wednesday, April 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
