Mary Elizabeth (D'Amato) Hurley, 60, of Enfield, wife of the late Wayne F. Hurley, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Hartford Hospital with her family by her side.

Mary was born Aug. 1, 1953, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Pasquale "Pat" and Theresa "Terry" (Camerota) D'Amato. Mary was a force to be reckoned with; she loved her family immensely and one should never come between her and her children. Mary will be remembered as a very loving mother and grandmother who wanted nothing but the best for her children.
She is survived by her three children, Sunshine Martineau and her husband, Stephen, of Ellington, Shannon Hurley of Windsor Locks, and Michael Mongeau of Enfield; her two siblings, John D'Amato of Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Patty D'Amato of Enfield. Mary is also survived by her loving granddaughter, Tessa Hurley; and a niece, Nicole Ginsberg and Pasquale John D'Amato.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit the family on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a celebration of Mary's life at 6 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
