Joseph H. King Sr., 82, of South Windsor, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014.

He was born March 25, 1932, in Rockville, the son of the late Joseph King and Jenny (Hepton) Jutras. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime member of Rockville United Methodist Church. He was a member of the GOM at the Rockville United Methodist Church and the Rockville American Legion. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Joanne Stenger, and her husband, Peter, of East Hartford, and Carol Macri of Vernon; his son, Joseph King Jr., and his wife, Toye, of Enfield; his sister, Margaret Sudol, and her husband, John, of Southington; his grandchildren, Michael, Joseph III, Nicole, John, Vanessa, Tyler, and Sara; nine great-grandchildren; and his longtime devoted partner, Sandie Halm. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia King; and his sister, Jane Carlson.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, CT 06066.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove St, Vernon. Burial will take place at a later date at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Rockville United Methodist Church or the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs, 287 West St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
