Regne G. Parr, 79, of Enfield, husband of the late Jeannette (Andrews) Parr (1975), entered into eternal peace Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Blair Manor in Enfield.

The son of the late Gerard and Beatrice (Houle) Parr, Regne was born and raised in Hartford. He had lived in Enfield since 1960 and was an active member of Holy Family Church. He was formerly employed by the Connecticut Department of Correction as a correctional officer, retiring as lieutenant after 21 years. Prior, he was an auxiliary police officer for the town of Enfield. He also was a cabinet maker for Oldham Studios, Hartford, and enjoyed woodworking. Regne served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was a member of the Connecticut State Prisons Pistol Club and was a competitive shooter. He was very involved with the Enfield Senior Center. A sports fan, Regne was an avid UConn women's basketball fan. He enjoyed the beach, fine dining, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three children, Kenneth L. Parr, and his wife, Kathryn Campbell-Parr, of Minden, Nevada, Eva-Jeanne Kealey, and her husband, Thomas, of Springfield, and Marie A. Oliver, and her husband, Eric, of Enfield; a brother, Armand Parr of Farmington; six grandchildren, Ryan and John Kealey, and Michelle Symington, Cassandra Parr, Amber and Dominique Mips; a great-grandson, Jack Symington; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Regne was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Parr; and a sister, Ann-Louise Davenport.
Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday June 4, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, for a procession to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Committal will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday June 3, at Leete-Stevens.
