Mary B. Sinay, 94, the wife of the late Ralph H. Sinay, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Manchester Manor.

Mary was born in Canada, the daughter of Walter and Margaret Crotty. She was a longtime resident of East Hartford and had been active at St. Christopher Church, singing in the choir and as a member of the ladies guild. She was also a former member of the United Churches Choir and was a duck pin bowling enthusiast, especially enjoying her times at the Holiday Lanes in Manchester.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Peg" Sinay of South Windsor; her son, James Sinay, and his wife; Judith, of Missouri; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her "adopted" children, Kathleen Hinson and Daniel Molloy. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Leo, Walter, James, and William Crotty.

Peg would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Manchester Manor for the wonderful care provided to Mary over the years.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, at 10 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, East Hartford, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
