Carol Ann (Murray) Liberty, 58, of Windsor Locks, loving wife of Thomas Liberty, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2014, at home with her family by her side.

Carol was born Nov. 4, 1955, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Lorraine "Pat" and Jennie (Marinone) Murray. She was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School Class of 1973. After high school, Carol received her LPN from St. Francis School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University. She was employed as a nurse at Newington Veterans Administration Medical Center. Carol was a very nurturing and caring person who loved being a nurse and loved animals of all kinds.
In addition to her husband she is also survived by her two daughters, Alicia Liberty, and her boyfriend, John Kotowski, and Rachel Liberty, and her boyfriend, Joshua Allyn, both of Windsor Locks. She is also survived by her two loving grandchildren, John Kotowski Jr. and Parker Kotowski; and two special cousins, Lester Webb and Ann Rogers.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.
A funeral service for Carol will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
