Lucille (Thompson) Dauphin, 96, of Rockville, widow of Armand Dauphin, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2014.

She was born Sept. 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Laubscher) Thompson. Lucille was born, raised, and lived in Rockville her entire life. She attended Rockville schools and worked at the Minterburn Mills prior to her marriage to her beloved Armand. They were married 56 years. Lucille loved to travel, especially her trips to Alaska, Florida, and her ocean cruises. She was also an avid bingo player.
Lucille leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lynette, and her husband, Roy Grabowski; as well as her precious cat, Lilly. Besides her husband, Lucille was predeceased by her siblings: her twin sister and best friend, Lenore Hewitt, and her sister, Lillian Kuhnly; as well as her brothers, Royal and Alberti Thompson.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Fox Hill Nursing Home, especially Heidi and Dee for their excellent care that was giving to Lucille.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for calling hours on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Small and Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with a funeral home service to begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Lucille's name to Our Companions Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 956, Manchester, CT 06045.
