Bob was born in Hartford on Oct. 8, 1946, son of the late Michael and Stella (Truken) Patulak. He was raised in Manchester and served in the U.S. Air Force. He received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Connecticut State College and a master's degree from Framingham State University in Massachusetts. Bob worked for the Hamilton Standard Company for many years, and had a second career as a dependents teacher for the U.S. Department of Defense, spending five years in London and eight years in Italy before returning to settle in Coventry last year. He was a great storyteller, enjoyed coaching tennis and traveling, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
With his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Maria Patulak of Willimantic; their infant daughter Gianna; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Vickie Mesar and their family of Pennsylvania.
