Lillian May (Peeler) DeForge of Windsor Locks, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was the youngest child of David W. and Winifred E. (Buffum) Peeler. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Edward "Eddie" DeForge to whom she was married 51 wonderful years. She was born on May 5 in Montague, Massachusetts, and as a young child she and her family moved to Enfield, where she attended school and met Eddie (the love of her life). In 1950 they moved to Windsor Locks and Lillian took a job at the Montgomery Co. and in 1957, she went to work for the Travelers Insurance Co. and retired after 25 years of service.
Lillian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Joseph Murkowicz; and two grandchildren, Cheryl Murkowicz and Kyle Murkowicz, all of Windsor Locks. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by a sister, Olive Lenois of Wallingford; and a brother, David L. Peeler of Windsor Locks.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, July 18, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.
A funeral service for Lillian will be celebrated on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery in Enfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108.
